Dr Jasmine Somaiya is an experienced and compassionate GP with over 10 years of experience in general practice. She completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle, followed by her internship at St George Hospital. Jasmine then began specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St George before ultimately pursuing her passion for holistic, long-term patient care as a general practitioner.

Jasmine has a strong interest in women’s health, including antenatal care, menopause management, contraception, and sexual health. She is experienced in performing sexual health checks and is trained in the insertion and removal of Mirenas and Implanons. She also holds a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine and offers thorough skin checks and minor procedures as part of her general practice.

As a co-founder of Surry Hills Doctors, Jasmine is proud to be building a warm, inclusive, and community-focused clinic alongside her colleagues and close friends, Dr Eric and Dr Jeff. Her approachable style and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care are at the heart of everything she does.

Outside of work, Jasmine enjoys discovering Sydney’s food scene, spending time with family and friends, and staying active.
